October 22nd, 2005: Battle Creek Griffon 0 Traverse City 41
The Battle Creek Griffon Rugby Club closed the Fall season with a loss
at home to Traverse City. Coach Al Houser reported that the team was undermanned
and lacked experience to create chances against Traverse. The good news
is that this young team has gone through the fire and will be strengthened
by some tough experiences. Houser reports that again Michael Barrosa played
well, as did Dan Lowe and Todd Day. Lance had a good game defensively
at fly half and Joey Asmus played well as a first time fullback under
a lot of pressure.
A couple of missed chances would have put some scores on the board for
the Griffons, but the points just slipped away due to some knock-ons.
