September 2nd, 2005: Fall Season Has Begun
Practice is in full swing, every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 pm. at the Wattles Park field.

September 10th, 2005: Tri-Cities 53 Battle Creek 3
Dan Lowe kicked a 35 meter penalty for the only Battle Creek points as they came up against a strong and experienced Tri-Cities team on the road. Coach Al Houser was pleased that 18 players made the road trip to Midland, but obviously the team has some things to correct at practice before the next game.

September 17th, 2005: Battle Creek 7, Ann Arbor Men's Club 27.
Battle Creek Griffon coach Al Houser reports that there was improvement in the play compared to week one, but that mistakes still cost the Griffons' points. Some knock-ons, and errant passes cost the Griffons, and once those mistakes are eliminated, and the line-outs are tightened up, the results will improve. Tackling was much improved and in the 2nd half the team strung together some nice phases of play. Ken Burdette scored on a penalty run and Dan Lowe converted for the 7 pts . Attendance at Tuesday and Thursday practice will allow the team to remedy these mistakes, and build confidence before meeting Toledo.
